Andrea and Keenan first connected in the Pocono Mountains during their years in college. Their story began with – mutual friends, a tiny kitten, a promise of chicken parmesan, and a foam party that ultimately brought them together. Their carefree college years were followed by graduation and getting their first “real” jobs as “real” adults. From living in a tiny apartment to making long distance work, they learned to thrive in all seasons of life.

During a road trip to what Andrea thought was a friend’s birthday party, a small pit stop for champagne turned into the surprise of her life! It turned out that Keenan – the non-planner – had planned the perfect proposal. On the Hudson River overlooking West New York, while friends secretly videotaped, according to Andrea it was perfectly them! 

From the start of wedding planning, the couple choose to focus on their experience guest. Not only did they want to create a fun wedding, but they wanted to genuinely connect with their guests. With a focus on fun, the celebration of their relationship, and lots of color, Andrea and Keenan worked with the YSDE team to truly design a once in a lifetime event centered around their favorite people. 

Their summer wedding at Excelsior was a celebration centered around color – from lush florals to signage selections that helped create a truly unforgettable experience – together we dreamed up a truly heartfelt event that reflected the vibrancy of this couple! With simple and yet stunning installations, this beautiful event shone bright with beauty of summer.
