Corey and Ryan’s happily ever after began after they each swiped right! Corey was just moving out of the exact neighborhood Ryan was moving into. After talking for a month, they decided to meet. They love to go hiking, try new restaurants and breweries and go to the beach. Some of their favorite dating memories are weekends at the beach – especially during the off season.
During one of those beach weekends in Ocean City, Ryan decided to pop the question. After spending all day at the beach, they were getting ready to go out for dinner when Ryan asked Corey to go on a walk down the beach. Corey said originally said not and off to dinner they went. It was an extremely busy, crowded restaurant and Ryan was nervous because he wanted to propose in a more secluded setting.
He suggested they visit a gazebo at the end of a pier but they were hesitant because it’s usually overcrowded at sunset. Finally after ordering drinks at the bar following dinner, Ryan insinuated he was trying to propose. Being surrounded by people at that moment, they glanced at the gazebo and magically, it was empty. Let’s just say the rest was history.
The couple chose Excelsior in Lancaster city for it’s uniqueness but mostly for the spectacular plant wall. It was the perfect venue to host her vision of a simple and yet, elegant and timeless wedding. We absolutely loved working with this couple on their design – walking them through our step by step approach to pulling their story and all the magical green, white florals to bring it all to life.
