Happy New Year! What a whirlwind the past year has truly been – it is hard to believe we are sitting here on the first day of the new year! I’d like to officially welcome you to the new YSDE Journal – a welcome I had hoped to extend last year when the new site launched. With the holidays, final wedding prep, and a new home purchase, the end of the year flew right on by. And while there certainly isn’t anything magical about January 1st (that is to say, I am a big believer that the best time to start something is today!), kicking off the journal today seemed like a wonderful way to start off the new year!

What can you expect from the journal over the next 12 months? Well, my friends, I am so glad you asked! There will be plenty of practical event planning tips & tricks (with freebies!), inspiration (in the form of editorials, real weddings, inspiration boards curated from my design process with real clients), guests series from some of the industry’s best, behind the scenes into my life as a designer, entrepreneur, mother, and homeowner, and lots of fun surprises tucked in throughout the next year! My hope is to publish new content weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays – so I hope you will join me here on a weekly basis as we dive into all the great content coming your way in the weeks ahead.

I also plan to publish a bimonthly newsletter that aims to supplement the content being shared here. Subscribers will get insider/early access to upcoming workshop, events, and will be the first to know about anything & everything new coming to the YSDE business/brand! So if you haven’t already be sure to subscribe here – there are a few questions asking about your interests so as to ensure to send you only content you might be interested in!

You can also expect some fun Facebook & Instagram Lives in the weeks ahead – again with the goal of sharing more content to truly help you put into practice all the tips & tricks shared here! Because my hope is that you will find as much joy in the process (the planning process that is) as you do in your actual wedding day!
