This week on the blog – a romantic, chic wedding at Excelsior in Lancaster, PA. We loved being part of this special day!

Samantha and Chase’s love story began in August 2015. They were each invited by a mutual friend to a birthday party at Morgan’s Pier in Philadelphia. They’ve been inseparable ever since. Some of their favorite things to do are explore their Philly neighborhood Fairmount, go to the beach, attend live music events and work out together. And obviously enjoy the amazing food scene Philadelphia has to offer. 

Annually, Samantha and Chase go to dinner with his sister & her husband. Each year, they visit a different Stephen Starr restaurant. One of those evenings, they had gotten a drink at The Love and were then walking to dinner. As soon as they left The Love, Chase’s sister said she forgot her sunglasses at the restaurant and turned back to grab them. Samantha and Chase kept walking through Rittenhouse Square park where he got down on one knee. The rest of their families were hiding out at Parc where they celebrated the proposal afterwards. 

Some of our favorite aspects of this fun, romantic, and chic summer wedding were the herb centerpieces that guests were able to take with them and how the couple incorporated foods from where they grew up – crab cakes for Samantha and cheesesteaks for Chase. We loved working with Samantha and Chase on the event design – especially finding these creative ways to infuse their story.
