After graduating college, Mallory was having a difficult time finding a full time teaching position. Little did she know this would lead her to meeting her future husband! While substitute teaching and working an evening job as a therapeutic staff support worker (TSS), she was offered two different positions. One in a brand new field and another as an art teacher. She decided to take a leap and accepted the position in a new field. Enter fate, I mean, Ben – a behavioral analyst/crisis intervention coordinator at her new job. Soon they began hanging out in groups with other coworkers and realized they were destined to be more than just friends/co-workers.
Their first date and hence one of their favorite dating memories was a hike at Strouds Preserve in West Chester. They still enjoy staying active as well as hanging out with friends & family, trying new restaurants and a good Netflix session.
After looking at rings over the summer and American Gem Society bills arriving in the mail, Mallory knew Ben would be popping the question soon. On Christmas Eve, they went out for a nice dinner and a stroll around Longwood Gardens. Afterwards, they were at home opening their stockings and Mallory received jewelry cleaner. She thought – great, I need to clean my jewelry! Ben then “remembered” he “forgot” a gift and came back into the room and got down on one knee. It was the perfect, intimate setting – just the two of them.
Neither of them had a preference for what time of year they wanted to get married, but they knew they didn’t want to wait the two years most venues had. So they decided on a January wedding date and were excited to be the first couple out of their friends to have a winter wedding.
Mallory & Ben’s special winter wedding was a classic, romantic style that was just picture perfect. Some of our favorite aspects were the mismatched bridesmaids dresses, the sparkly gold tablecloth at the sweetheart table, and her breathtaking dress – I mean who doesn’t love lace! Congratulations Mallory & Ben!
